It's already confirmed for 360. They have already spent development time and money making it cross-gen.

The only way this would happen is if Microsoft shells out more money to make it happen. They would lose a lot more market share by not releasing it. This should sell better on the 360 than the previous one because a lot of consumers currently have a 360 and PS4's only. Those people would of just get the 360 version. This time the 360 version makes more sense financially.

Finally, someone who isnt in denial of whats been going on as of late. The only company that could stand in the way of SE getting full profitability from this game is MS.

I hope they do, mostly for quality reasons but also by fall 2015 the sales potential for that game on 360 will be horrible. The only things that will continue selling on the 360 is Fifa/Madden/COD.

I wouldn't think they would, Square bitched about last gen not selling enough copies on both 360/PS3, having it only on the XB1 and square would still find a way to bitch, I'd say keep it on the Xb1 so it doesn't have to suffer from last gen but we know Square just wants the money and would let the game suffer anyway just like they'll let FF XV suffer on inferior hardware.

A lot of folks wish the would, but ultimately, the goal for them is to reach the most people possible. And this isn't just a Square Enix thing. Most publishers are still supporting last gen as it still has a gigantic active base. The exception would be something like SF5 and even that is coming to PC.

In reference to Tomb Raider being held back because of Xbox 360, I would defer to Forza Horizon 2.

Another argument is that having the game on the 360 means that purchasing an Xbox One isn't necessary to play the game at release... which is true and I don't have a solid argument against that point.

Xbox 360 is still killing it in software sales. Besides I'm betting the game is too far into developmen to just cancel the 360 version.
