I honestly don't know, since I didn't buy my games at first. My mum ordered me a PS2 for launch, but it did not come till January. However, I have got my PS3, PSP and PSP slim and lite on launch. I also buy most games that I buy at launch and the one that I remember the best was GTA San Andreas

Vice city was my first day 1 purchase.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. That was also my first game were i felt hype

Well the first thing i bought first day was the Wii, actually 1 dat before it's launch lol.

I can't remember for sure, but I got almost all my N64 games much later than their release date. Then I got a Gamecube later...I think Wind Waker might actually be the first game I preordered and bought on day one...might have been one that I didn't realize was day 1, who knows.

My 1st 1st day purchase was the DS Lite.

 Holy crap!  I'm such an idiot!  I got my N64 on launch!  A day before, actually, much like you and your Wii.

My PSP - well, my first one.

Mortal Kombat for the SNES. Sure it had no blood but it was my first "first day" purchase. Since then probably too many games to list. My first console launch purchase was the Wii.
