Losing mh was a huge blow to psv

Yep, but there is still hope... Sony has currently a good partnership with Capcom, so why not a new Monster Hunter?

They struck a deal with Nintendo

It has expired, hasn't it?

Excellent list KyleeStrutt.

And with all the demand for it, I can't imagine all the $$$$ thrown at both parties! MH5 exclusively on Vita may sell like hotcakes, literally.

The last one is particularly interesting.
PS2 & PS1 appear, but not PS3 or PS4.

Sony on decline in Japan software wise?

Everything is in decline when you compare it with numbers where console/handheld gaming was actually a big deal in Japan. But not anymore.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

I think MH should stay on 3DS. Benefits the 3DS more. :P

And Capcom can't resist that big install base which is very helpful when releasing in the west too.

Idk, but it sounds risky to Capcom now just ignore the instal base they made with the 3ds. A double version for both handhelds would benefit both, but even that is remote because Ninty would give their bucks to secure the exclusivity.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

The 4 best selling Monster Hunter games on PSP ammount to 11.862.465.
Total sales of the Monster Hunter series on 3DS ammount to 8.555.328.
Those 4 games on PSP are unique from one another and not expansion packs of other games as far as I know.
The 3 games available on 3DS would be 4, its expantion, 4G and an expantion of 3, 3G.

All things considere, I'd say that the series might be performing better on 3DS; unless Sony directly pays for it I doubt Capcom would make a MH for Vita (a brand new one that is, a port is not far fetched) the fanbase in on 3DS and I suspect 3DS games are cheaper to make than Vita games, specially for something like MH.

If MH on PSV would sell like hot cakes then MH on 3DS is selling like radioactive cakes.

One of the PSP titles is an expansion.
