PS Vita is at 9.6 million and Wii U is at 8.9 million.
Holidays are over and there is no big games coming for the Wii U. PS Vita is getting a lot of support (in Japan) early 2015 with games like God Eater 2: Rage Burst, Sword Art Online: Lost Song and Digimon: Cyber Sleuth. And there is also the China release early 2015. Wii U has nothing yet... 

What does the Nintendo community say, who predicted that the Wii U will easily sell 10 million before the Vita. :P

I did think wii u would get there first now i dont. I think it will take both consoles awhile to there. I honestly thought wii u would be at 10m by now. I still believe wii u will outsell vita LTD though

Of course not, they're both gonna drop to similar levels, WiiU 30-40k a week, Vita to 20k a week (totally depending on Japan). Times those by 20 weeks and you get 600k to 800k and 400k.

i don't think wii u will sell 10m before vita the gap between psv ans wii u is too big.

PS Vita has China, Japan and all the other Asia countries. It could probably drop to 20k a week in the summer but very very unlikely in 2015. It is still doing 15k in Europe now and this is good for it!

With Japan 15 - 20k, Europe 5 - 10k, NA 3k and Rest of World 5 - 10k, it will easily have a baseline of 30 - 40k in 2015. With China (could sell 10-20k a  week!!!) it will perform even better than the Wii U!

I'm thinking Vita will hit 10 million first.

Maybe it will reach 10m first, but the first getting 11m is going to be WiiU.
