If the console standard is 60 FPS its not debatable, but consoles arent standard 60 FPS. This is only common sense. This isn't the PC realm.

What kind of defeatist argument is that? That you prefer to have inferior product because you game on a console? I dont buy that Master race nonsense.

That isn't a defeatist argument. Your eyes regulate to what they are used to. They are doing the best they can with the limited hardware that they have. Its about the game and the artistic license and doing the best on the games that are meant for the hardware, not the hardware not the hardware itself. Thats the PC gamers mentality where its performance > games in a conversation for them. Thats perfectly fine but that conversation will not work with the common man.  If people get used to 1080p at all times, sub 1080 will become annoying. If their eyes are generally regulated to 30 fps and they play a couple 60 fps games they can go back and forth, but if 60 fps becomes the standard, it will be noticable in almost an annoying manner. This is why in reviews you hear alot of PC/Console gamers talk about frames every ten seconds when really the question is did the game perform well and did you enjoy it? Thats pretty much what the console gamer wants. A game meant for their hardware that entertains them from what they spent their money on, thats all.  Its the opposite of the PC mentality when you're thinking at large.

I was that way once myself with PC's and then I started missing console exclusives.

Is it just me, or does this game seem awfully close to done for a game that comes out in nearly a year? The visuals we saw last months were already running above 30 fps? That's crazy.

Personally I'd love for it to be at 60fps, but I like that they aren't willing to hinder the experience for it. A locked 30 fps with the option to unlock it like we've been seeing with other Sony games would be perfectly fine with me.

Those levels we saw are probably done. But that doesn't mean other chapters are made yet. That's probably the extra year. Plus, all the optimization the maps go through near the game.

Good call. Uncharted isn't the type of game that really needs 60fps, in my opinion. This game is meant to be flashy and beautiful, so 1080p it is.

Official Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Thread

It would be great if it was 60fps but its wont really be surprising if its less than that

Naghty Dog blatantly lied and misled games twice already with Uncharted and the ps4 fans are just giving them a pass. Imagine if Ubisoft or MSFT had done what Naughty Dog id doing with uncharted, it would be a bloodbath. 1)Naughty Dog was trying to make it seem as if the reveal trailer was actually game graphics. Corrine Yu was saying the graphics were in game, then we see gameplay at psx and they changed their tune. 2)In the reveal they mentioned how it was running at 60 fps and saying how Uncharted would be at 60fps, especially after working with tlour. Now they are backing off  the frames being at 60. Naughty Dog was blatanly misleading the specs of Uncharted and they shouldn't be getting a pass like they are. I admit I don't own a ps4, but I think the standards should be the same for all, yet another ps4 developer gets a pass.

PS Shahid Kamal is on his death bed again.

60 fps would be preferable, adding that extra smoothness to the gameplay, but the hit it would take on other areas is probably too high.

FPS is the only genre I really feel it makes a very significant difference. (Can't really comment on racers as I don't really play them.)

Do whatever you need to ND. As long as the game is great I don't really care.

I honestly wouldn't mind 30 FPS, just as long as it's locked.

So many games last gen were "30 FPS" but they would dip so often it would ruin the experience. I'm playing GTA V right now and god damn are the FPS drops noticeable, it's actually really annoying especially when driving.

Umm I guess you can't read then...They never said it was going to be 60 FPS, they said they were AIMING for 60 FPS. Two very different meanings.

And trust me, Microsoft has done this shit in the past and MS fans have gave them a pass. Have you really forgotten about Forza 5 already? Let's not start that in this thread.

If this was a MS studio doing this, you'd be one of the people defending this so stop your hypocrisy.

Also the reveal trailer was 60 fps and they said that they are targeting 60 fps.
