Both will release in April over in Japan... which is kinda odd to begin with but with the New 3DS Sselling really well in Japan and this being its first exclusive (and a JRPG) I can see it selling quite well, possibley even better than its Wii release (only 160k). Seeing as it will come out earlier than Xenoblade X (April 29th) on April 2nd and being such a long game I can see Japanese consumers being satisfied with their 3DS game and skipping over the WiiU game... kinda like Smash Bros on a smaller scale.

What do you think??

If anything, people will be more intrigued to get the Wii U game. They buy Dragon Quest every couple of months anyway.

One is on the 3DS while the other is on the Wii U, so I agree

I will go with a no cause Xenoblade on the wii wasn't a limited release in Japan I believe and it had tons of wiis so there isn't much reason for people to play the 3ds version imo

Although, I guess if we are including japan only, the wiiU sales are bad enough for it to maybe out sell it but we will see

If it were playable on all 3DS skus I would say yes but since it's just on New 3DS, I'll say no

Actually, no. The userbase for the 3DS remake is going to be smaller due to it being New 3DS exclusive. It's also a remake, so that would mean that sales could easily be lower than the original title with that alone.

What? Definitely not. Less N3DSs than Wii Us in Japan by a large margin.

The margin might be less than 1m units.  Relative to their totals, it might be a lot, but I think it would serve you well to remember that Japan pretty heavily prefers their handhelds.  Also, if you look it up on here, Xenoblade performed worse in Japan than it did in Europe and North America.  It's possible that putting it on the handheld might make it perform better.  Xenoblade Chronicles X may not out perform the original.  

If we put everything into consideration, it's possible.  However, if we were to talk WW sales, definitely not.

Of course... maybe X 3ds Japan will outsold X wii U WW too!
