Forums - Nintendo - What will 3DS big holiday games be?

Nintendo has usually given 2 big titles for 3DS during the holidays with the exception of 2012.

2011-Super Mario 3D Land+Mario Kart 7

2012-Paper Mario: Sticker Star(Animal Crossing should have been a worldwide release)

2013-Pokemon X/Y+Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

2014-Super Smash Bros 3DS+Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire

2015-??????????

So what do u think will be the big holiday titles for 3DS this year? I think we will see Pokemon again, likely an expansion/sequel to X/Y, could be Z or XZ/YZ or X2/Y2. For the second big title, I'm not entirely sure, I don't think it will be a mega seller but rather a nice support title. Maybe a sequel to an already released million seller like Fire Emblem or Mario & Luigi or Kid Icarus. Perhaps a Nintendo franchise that has yet to release on 3DS like 2D Metroid or the rumored Diddy Kong Racing or maybe a completely new ip.

Basically Pokemon along with a mid-size support ip capable of selling 1-2 million is my guess.

I'm going to agree with you with saying Pokemon + Metroid

Yokai Watch 3 for Japan and wait for e3 for the west

Either Pokemon + Metroid, or Pokemon + Fire Emblem. Unless they unveil something entirely new at E3 this year, which is quite possible.

Pokemon/Yokai Watch/Monster Hunter pick your favorite.

Metroid & Fire Emblem are great alright, but they're B tier franchises as far as sales are concerned.

most likely Fire Emblem If, and we are very likely to get a new Pokemon (not sure if it will be in gen 6 or the start of gen 7) and i get the feeling a new Metroid for the 3DS will be announced at E3 and released this holiday

3DS NFC title in the same vein as Skylanders

Nintendoland 3DS with amiibo support.

Pokemon and some shit. No way Fire Emblem is releasing in the West this year. I want to see a 3DS Metroid, even though I hate the direction the 2D side of the franchise is going. And yes, I'm including Zero Mission.

More Pokemon and probably Metroid, hopefully something unique and unexpected as well. It'll probably be 3DS's last holiday season before Nintendo chooses to unveil the 4DS.
