I think that was his point...

from the discussion here you'd think the ps4 had no offers at all and the ONE was given away with fries.

Yes, but the difference is MS said this was a promotional sale of the XB1 so people of course jumped on it thinking this would be their only chance to buy it at the low price. Then MS lowered it again after a couple of weeks and talk about a promotional sale again to try to do the same. Sony never officially dropped the price and gave value by adding games. There's a difference between creating 'panic buying' and 'offering value'.

Also, Microsoft said that this was a temporary pricedrop without a defined time span:

"It's a temporary reduction and we're not announcing an end date at this point," Nichols said. "We want to see how people react to it."

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-one-s-latest-price-cut-only-temporary-microso/1100-6424685/

So you better get it at that price while you still can...

I wonder if any authorities will be contact Microsoft about enciting riots.

Why would they? Do you think that's going to happen.

Why would they?

Panic buying

On our anniversary last week, my wife and I were walking by a Gamestop and decided to do a little browsing.  Lo and behold being a survival horror fan, I came across a used and elusive copy of Calling for the Wii.  For two years, I've searched for this game high and low never finding it in its complete state of disc, instruction booklet, and orginal white  Wii case until that fateful night on our anniversary.  Unfortunately, it's wasn't in near mint condition, and it sold for the used price of $34.99 USD.  But then my wife graciously said, "Happy Anniversary."  Fearing that I would not find such a rarity in its completion again, I anxiously took advantage of the situation, and became the proud owned of a rare Wii title.  But ironically just two days later, I came across several new copies on Amazon.  Thankfully, Gamestop's return policy of used games was honored when I returned the game for a full refund.  And I soon purchased a new copy for just under $28 USD.  If I hadn't paniced when I first came across Calling at Gamestop, I would have saved myself the trouble and anxiety.  And thankfully, there were NO RIOTS over the situation.  True story.

Did you honestly thing that there would be riots over panic buying...?

They fix al their problems i don't see why people would hate xbone for this forever

Xbox One is region locked in China, and doesn't allow second hand game sales. PS4 is not region locked theer or anything like that. So it's not strange if people are still weary about MS's intentions.

Only China you think other people will care about that they will only care about their country

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Actually the PS4 might be getting region locked there. That's why the launch was possibly delayed.

Of course they'll care. Because they tried to do it everywhere, and ultimately failed because Sony did the opposite. Doing it in China may show that they still try to get away with it wherever/whenever they think they can. Which could be in our regions as well later on or next gen, etc.

Though apparently it's not set in stone if PS4 will be region free or not yet, so I'll hold off my judgement until it launches.

Once chinese people will protest about that they will remove it.

I don't think anybody think mcrosoft will region lock it again

Whether you're right or wrong, what does it have to do with riots?
