Hell yeah! On the permanent/promotional price cut! :D

Now the Domination can truly begin!

Chartz was spot on tracking the X1. Do we have PS4 numbers yet?

What domination?  They will be dominated worldwide even with it.

Come on man, don't be like that in the NPD thread. Take it somewhere else.

Come on man don't be like that. Why are you picking on me? Surely you should be replying to him and pointing out that while xbox might win the usa it won't be dominating.  What I said is correct.  Sony will still dominate worldwide even with a price cut in the usa.

Congrats Xbox One on those sales! The competition is getting fierce. It's not boring any longer! Glad to see Nintendo with a boost as well.

Yh, as long as we are only looking at sales in US.

Because we have an immense amount of people being salty about "in the US" in an NPD thread.

If the "leaked" hardware numbers for the 3 systems really are what Neogaf is saying then I'd call that pretty damn good. A 100k difference in December? That's a lot smaller than I expected.

200K

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=147651209&postcount=189

XBO - 1.2M

PS4 - 1M

Wii U - 560K

Who is that dude? 200k is still ok, looks like vgchartz is pretty close post adjustments.

200k difference is probably quite pleasing to them as that means they still have about 500k in their pocket difference... and have outsold the XBO worldwide, and in many countries by a fair margin... I think Sony will be very happy.

Right I was referring to the U.S. only. MS doesn't have a chance worldwide unfortunately.

Neither Bloodborne or The Order are system sellers, they are games many with the current system will buy.

Bloodborne is selling the system to me. Lol

Yeah I think there will be quite a few console sales for that game, it's just one of those games that some people just wont get, but it will sell consoles.

In fact it's silly for anyone to say that AAA exclusive games dont shift consoles, they all do... its just difficult to quantify the actual numbers.... I see BB pushing a good number, and I feel even with the bad press that The Order will still have the effect of a strong HW sales push.

The Order is up for question as there's still a bit of low expectation for it.

But the Souls series has created a pretty decent fanbase on PC for this family of games, and there is no doubt in my mind that PC-based Souls fans will buy PS4 for Bloodborne. Perhaps not in their hundreds of thousands, but certainly several thousands. To imagine that "all Bloodborne fans already own PS4" is actually anywhere true is quite astounding. Actually what PS4 game has there been over the last year that would get Souls fans on board with PS4? Pretty much nothing. What is far more likely is that because Bloodborne was announce quite a while ago, many Souls fans have contented themselves with Dark Souls 2 on their PS3 and they are going to buy a PS4 with Bloodborne. That seems like a much more logical conclusion of how Bloodborne will impact hardware sales.

wasnt xb1 outselling ps4 two months in a row in the u.s. ''impossible'' but yet here it is lol

It was impossible until MS massively cut the price on the X1, making it cheaper than the Ps4 and gave away a lot of free games.

There is among people who spend hours a week on gaming forums following news.

The game is very marketable, which is more important than what it gets on metacritic.

Wii U established new benchmarks for hardware and software sales in a single month in December. This helped total hardware and software sales in 2014 increase by more than 29 percent and more than 75 percent, respectively, over sales in 2013.

Nintendo 3DS also had a strong December, including its largest month ever for first-party software sales. This was primarily fueled by Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, which has already surpassed 2 million combined physical and digital units sold in a little more than three months, and Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, which have combined to sell over 2.6 million physical and digital units in their first six weeks.

“Wii U had its strongest year yet thanks to the highly anticipated software lineup and the introduction of the amiibo platform,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “Fans can anticipate another strong year for 2015, especially with more highly anticipated games like Splatoon and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, as well as New Nintendo 3DS XL, arriving in the first half of 2015.”

Other Nintendo highlights from the full 2014 year include:

Wii U:

Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U sold over 1.7 million physical and digital units and 1.3 million physical and digital units, respectively, in 2014.
Total sales of amiibo figures in 2014 are nearly twice the sales of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.

Nintendo 3DS:

In 2014, 16 Nintendo 3DS titles sold at least 250,000 units. Of those titles, eight sold more than 500,000 units and three sold over 1 million units.
In 2014, the top 15 best-selling hand-held titles were all released on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.

Nintendo is looking to ride the wave of momentum into 2015, with the launches of Splatoon, Yoshi’s Woolly World, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. and Mario Party 10. On Feb. 13, Nintendo will also launch the New Nintendo 3DS XL in the United States alongside The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D.
