It has a single player mode to.

Some games whitout ANY "online mode" are still "full" price

(and theere could very well be more "modes")

...99% of online shooters have a single player mode. As cool as this one looks, it's very obviously not going to compare with the single player campaign of most single player only games, of which 99% shouldn't be $60 either. When you have games like Call of Duty with a dozen multiplayer modes, the one Splatoon mode doesn't cut it.

They specifically called the online multiplayer mode. Singular. It's only Turf Wars. Then a single player mode, which shouldn't even be called a mode. It's just a campaign. Than a local multiplayer mode. Three modes.

Dude they said there would be more than one inline game type ages ago.  Just cause they didn't mention it doesn't mean it's gone.  They didn't mention the gamepad features or local multiplayer either guess those got cut too? :p

I mean like a mini game, a $20 - $40 dollar game , a minor game, because "it did't have enought content" I love how people assumed that based on a trailer and gameplay of one level!!

Look, if this game still only has one online mode, like they said in this trailer, then it absolutely be a $40 game. One mode is not enough for a $60 shooter.

Do you really think there is only one mode in the game? really, you got a single player that for some reason many people thought it wasn't there, lets just wait before making assumtions a see easily 6 modes on the game.

Eh, they already confirmed they were working on more multiplayer modes at E3... Look at the Nintendo Treehouse episodes they uploaded (coming from the mouths of the actual developers). They also said there you could change your main weapon before the start of the game (which was only shown at the direct today). So it's not like they're lying...

Yeah. Local multiplayer. When questioned specifically about if there would be more modes, they specifically dodged the question by saying there would obviously be a single player and local multiplayer mode, but nothing on more online modes. I remember, because I replayed that video multiple times because I couldn't believe they'd actually release an online multiplayer shooter in a market like this with only one online mode.

Look at 2:40.

I would be estatic if you could show me the footage where they even remotely imply another online mode.

No, they were talking about online modes for more advanced players... Watch all 3 of them (Nintendo's youtube channel, treehouse streams). It's there somewhere.

Probably this one.

No, they didn't. If they did, prove it. I want to be wrong. I'd love to be wrong. I'd thank the heaven's that I was wrong.

They did mention local multiplayer and they have mentioned gamepad in the past. They've absolutely never mentioned even the existence of more online modes or something as simple as using the pro controller instead of the gamepad for online matches. Look it up.

Single player was confirmed since E3. No one at Nintendo has ever said a word on other online modes, even when asked directly. They just bring up local and single player.

Too bad there seems to be no sandbox city mode. Wasted potential.

May release? Now I know what birthday present I want this year!

Yes.. think he just wont "understand" :)

And spe..

They are making a "dedicated miiverse" to this..

I bet theere will be a lot of modes and stage.. and more.. Like smash big.. Nintendo know they have a very unik game,, and it has a lot of potentiel.. hardcore and casual.. boys and girls.

Actully i believe this games could become even more "insane big" (MK8 DLC comes to mind)
