Maybe time for MS to expand on their mobile phone businesses?

the 2.1B loss was for sony as a whole, i think this is for the mobile division. not sure though, but this is what i understand. 

I think the 1.9 is the company as a whole, with mobile and tv division bleeding the money

This seems like the worst timing to get out of the buisness. They have finally matched or outdone the competition with the Xperia Z3 line, and they are finally starting to land deals with carriers. If they could lock down a deal with AT&T with the Z4, and bring PS Now and PS Vue exclusivly to these devices for the first year, they could really turn things around. They have already written off the worst of their issues last quarter, so things should only be up from here on out.

The partnership idea is an absolute joke. The Sony Ericson deal is why they were unable to react to the iPhone and Android market in a timly matter. Another partnership is just another set back on the road to recovery.

Right now the TV and Mobile buisnesses are in the best position they have been in in nearly a decade. To back out now when they finally have some light at the end of the tunnel would be a major regret now that they are turning the corner. With the future of everything they are doing riding on smartphones, TV's and Tablets, I don't even see how this could make the slightest bit of sense.

Sony should put a silver pear on their phones.

In 2-3 years Sony could be making 1BN$ a year from PS Plus alone. They would need about 25M subscribers to do that. They currently have over 10M PS Plus subsand that's with just over a year of the PS4 being out. Def possible if sales keep up. 

Add to that the fact they are turning into a games software beast again and the playstation profits in a few years could be huge. Hardware likely to always be sold at a profit too. I'm pretty sure they could almost do a 50$ price drop on the PS4 atm and still break even. Yet it's selling loads at 399$ still. 

I'm not saying it's bigger than insurance and banking which i know nothing about but it's gonna get pretty fucking huge. 

i think sony would be stupid to sell it now as i think they are turning a corner somewhat. If they im[rove the mobile division some more MS would probably pay a shit load of money for it and if I was them I'd sell. Get something in the contract that PS Now and other PS apps must always be included. 

But if they turn it around more I'd say Sony would try and hang onto it. 

please just sell it for tons of money and take technolohy to release vitaphone latter 

I was actually going to say that this increases the chances of another Sony handheld. lol! xD
