Forums - Gaming - Grim Fandango Remastered Now Available for Pre-order

Thank you, Veknoid.

One of the best games of the 90s, one of the best point&click adventure games ever made (even though Tim didn't allow us to point and click back then...), #5 in my personal list of best adventure games.

Naznatips and Rubang would post here if they were still around. (Out of curiousity I will check if they added it to their Steam lists when it appeared there).

OT: Cant wait for this one. Day 1 on my lil Vita

You will play a game of a genre that died, on a console that was stillborn. Well at least the Grim Fandango thematics suit that.

ouch. when words hit harder than a fist.

I will end up playing it on my vita too. I think the touchscreen controls should make it better to play on.

The genre is definitely more alive than Manny Calavera, it's arguably more alive today than it was in the year Grim Fandango was originally released. Can't say the same about the genre of your profile picture.

Huh, I didn't know this remaster was coming to PC as well so if anyone wants to pre-order it for PC and didn't know that, heres the link to that as well

Ahem, Grim Fandango not being re-released on its original platform would have created an outcry almost as loud as if the Chrono Trigger remake would have been released on PC instead of a Nintendo system. Tim Schafer is a clever guy and I'm sure he had this in mind when he negotiated with Sony.

I already posted the link, btw, and at this point it's only unclear if it will be a gog exclusive on PC (which would be huge, but I doubt it).

It is my mine already.

That is why I choose PS4

I think on the GOG site it said a week. It was in the sentence covering the trailer, but doesn't make much sense for a trailer to be exclusive for a week, so...

Yes but most of them are "dumbed down" adventures. I don't remember getting stuck in The Walking Dead for example not even once.

I can't argue about the genre of my profile picture :P SSX on PS360 was terrible.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Yes, you're right. I hadn't seen that before. One week PC exclusivity for GOG is mentioned in the news: http://www.gog.com/news/preorder_grim_fandango_remastered

Which means I will buy it on Steam in the first week of February.

Well, its just, I don't ever recall it being announced for PC. And I know that there would be a lot of whining involved and etc but its just that, I don't recall it having a PC logo anywhere, specially at PSX even though a huge exclusive like SFV had a "Exclusively for Ps4 and PC" in there. But who knows, maybe I am just not following it enough or maybe I just didn't pay enough attention loll (Most likely the second one)
