PSNow goes live today.  What I would like to do is get an idea of what people's experience is like with this service.

Remember, there is a free trial this week so feel free to test the service but don't forget to cancel if you don't want keep the service as Sony will probably automatically charge your account next week.

What I am looking for is for folks to give some basic info so we can get a better first hand picture of the service,  speeds, picture quality, latency (if any) for specific titles.   Of course I am looking to see how people with diferent connections are effected.

Believe it or not, I trust you guys more than most media outlets.

Please include as much or as little info as you want, but there is a template for submission:

1. Title

2. Device you tested on (PSTV, PSVita, PS3, PS4)

3. Your Internet Connection Speed

4. Time it takes for Game to Start

5. Rate the Picture Quality

6. Is there percieved latency?  Does it efect Gameplay?

7. Are there connection drops, pixelation, other anomolies?

8. How would you rate your overall experince out of 10?

Anything else you want to add about your personal expereince is welcome.  I will create some meteric next week to help us visualize the results.

Thanks for your participation :)

Oh, this is interesting!
But 6. is not measurable. The users should know the IP of the PSNow server and do a ping to that to get a value for latency.

Understood, I will change this to "percieved latency."

It would be really great if folks could ping the server by the way...

I am not sold on this service yet. I still have all of my old units hooked up and the monthly charge is a bit too much if you ask me.

PSN & XBOX GT : cutzman25

I will be using my Vita and PS4 to test it out. Will be interesting to see what differences there are in quality on the two platforms. My PS4 is hardlined to a 50Mbps internet connection. Vita is of course wireless.

Awesome.  I can't wait to see your results, I will be testing both as well.  If you would like to, can you report on how comfortable it is using the Vita to play a game made for the Dual Shock 3?  I think people may find this helpful as well.

Actually it's measurable. You press button to jump, character jumps half a second later, there is latency. If u can only detect latency by going to a site to measure the ping, then its not percieveable and not worthy of mention.

And thats why I opted to use the term percieved latency because that is what will matter in the end.  All online has some form of absolute latency that can be measured in ms, but here we mean latency that effects gameplay.

How do you want to measure it? And how much does the TV add to the delay? I want hard data, facts, numbers. I want to know about the peering to Sony servers and how they layout their network and by how much the isp is at fault and how much Sony.

Okay guys its live. I am eagerly awaiting your feedback!
