Conditions for Sony/MS/Nint:
-At the launch of the title, they were published by the stated publisher, and they are a brand new IP and not based off of previous Games, movies, characters or licenses.

Others:
-At the launch of the title, they were published as a brand new IP, for any new gen home consoles

A mighty impressive list by Microsoft and Sony, probably the reason why they are doing so well.

In a way I wish nintendo would see the value in new IP's. And third party's that would work with them to make it.
While having a sequel to the best game in a genre is cool, make new games, new genres, and that is what brings a fresh market in especially in the beginning of a consoles lifecycle.

Note that a number of titles that are new IP's are excluded, such as Hells blade, because they are not published by said publisher.

Best post ever?

Lego City Undercover has nothing to do with the other Lego games. Hence its a new IP. Jesus Christ...

Wasn't Pushmo a new IP made by Nintendo? Also, I'm not sure that Nintendo owns the Devil's Third IP.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Published, not owned, but I do think they own it too.

And Pushmo for wii u is not technically a new IP, cause the 3DS version existed before then.

Did you also add Indiegames on PS4/Xbox ONE? Because half of the Games on their respective Listings I have never heard of or seen in Shops

Zoo Tycoon is an old IP btw, although I think the previous ones where all PC only

As for Wii U: Zombi U?

Zombi U published by Ubisoft

Most indie games weren't initially developed for said consoles/ most didn't launch on said consoles, but the ones that did/will were included (ori&blind)

But if I missed one pls tell me.

And yeah thanks you're right bout zoo tycoon

Ah ok, I thought you meant with published by X published exclusive on their console.

Also, NES Remix, Nintendoland, Sing Party, maybe Art Academy if you want to count that one as a game (all Wii U)

I don't think a collection of old NES games could be considered a new IP...

If they where all unchanged and fully playable, it certainly wouldn't. But you don't play these games, just certain aspacts of them. And in the remix levels, you play certain aspects of some games mixed up with those of some others. So yes, I would count it as a new IP as there are way too many changes to the original games to discount it as just a retro games collection

if he ads all indie games then that list will become too long.

And went you haven't seen half of those games in ships is cause half of them come out this year. Why you haven't heard of them? Are you a Nintendo fan? That could explain it.

OP, I thought no mans sky was also being published by Sony

Ironically that list includes E-shop titles, albeit none of them are original IP's published by Nintendo

Good stuff. I love supporting new IP's

Splatoon, Until Dawn, Bloodborne, and a few of the smaller games are on my maybe list.

I count Pushmo & Tearaway too since they are new to this gen. I'll be looking into them. (For the purposes of this thread, I understand why they aren't listed though )
