It's frequently suggested that Nintendo should stop trying to be unique in their hardware design and create a console that is equal in power and has the same architecture as the potential Xbox 4 and PS5. While there is disagreement on whether that would cause third-party developers to port their games onto Nintendo's platform in addition to Xbox and PlayStation, that's not the point of this thread.
If Nintendo's next console is not the weakest home console in the ninth generation, (assuming that both the PS5 and Xbox 4 are roughly equivalent to mid/high-end computers and close in specs,) has a similar online infrastructure, gets all third-party multiplatform games at the same time, along with Nintendo's exclusive offerings, and has a similar price, will you purchase it as your primary console for that generation?
This is mostly directed to those who currently choose PlayStation or Xbox as their primary console, since Nintendo fans would buy it anyways.
