Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
It is not true that Nintendo fans would buy it anyways, since many Nintendo fans did not buy a Wii-U because of the weak hardware and stupid controller. There are much more Nintendo fans than Wii-U owners out there.
If Nintendo build a "me too" system like everyone else, then yes I'd still purchase it day one. Why? because it would still be the only place to get the industry leading experiences only Nintendo creates with their games.
However, that would also mean Nintendo has likely limited themselves in some fashion to create that "me too" system.

Why dont you just have your mom say "Good job, honey" every time you beat a level instead...?

If that's their reasons for not buying it you've really got to wonder how much of a Nintendo fan they actually are... |
Maybe they're like me and can't afford to have 2 consoles each gen and are saving for all the good Wii U games to come out and buying them at the end of the gen. There's nothing wrong on stopping to support a company you like once they disappoint you.
I'm now filled with determination.
I will give Nintendo 400€ right now for an equally strong console. 600 for a 50% stronger console.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
No because of sony first party but a lot of people will buy it
PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m
Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
