They've all been good games, Wii being the best IMO.

But no, they do not need a new Mario every year, let alone NSMB every year.

The NSMB series needs to be retired. It's inciting franchise fatigue, and weakening the Mario brand.

They need to give 2D Mario a long break, then return to it with the same production value they afford 3D Mario, not this bland-looking, recycled, "bah baaaah" rubbish.

Pretty sure it is. If somethings dying it's weakening. It's not dead. Just because it's dying doesn't mean it doesn't have a chance of survival. Someone can be dying on cancer and then miraculously get better.

Dying implies in the process of becoming dead. Mario's a long, long way from dead.
