They maybe could have got to 20 million with a price cut, but they will probably take selling a load of consoles at a profit instead.

I do wonder though, if losing more money on selling a load more consoles would have been balanced out by all those extra millions of months of Plus subscriptions

Two more weeks and MS has their financial report, two weeks later it´s Sony time.

Off corse there are PS3 and 360 (and Vita) in the total hardware shipments, but no one can say every PS4 shiped was sold imediatly and neither say there are XOne piled on the shelves.

The number (or ratio) of PS4 in the retailer channel will be similar to XOne. 

We have to accept those number once and for all.

I'm pretty happy about this news. I hope the PS4 is overtracked more in the US and the Xbox One can overtake ti sooner. That way I get my freaking money back. Hahahaha xD

Really? How does that math play out? *Note: 1-1.5 million still isn't unprecedented, but I'm curious as to how you figured that out.

18.2 at the end of december with 2 weeks to go  tracking wise to get to 4 january...  without this statement vgchartz would have the PS4 probably at 19 million at 4th january.

Chances are the bulk of the overtracking happened in EU.

Does that equate to 1.-1.5 million overtracked? Genuine question(s), as I saw someone do the math earlier - which didn't exceed 700K.

Well depends if it is shipped sell through or not.  Sometims it sometims not annoying about this forum. Doesn't really matter much at the end.
