Forums - Nintendo - I know why Nintendo won't release the Wii U in China

Because they are preparing a new Nintendo console for 2016 and they don't want to cut the sales of the new console.

Because Nintendo is dumb as fuck and won't release in South America, South Africa, China, other Asian territories and rest of Europe. (East and some South.)

Also, they stated in 2013 meeting that they would like to release cheaper versions of the current consoles that can run the same games to developing markets which IMHO is stupid. This thread is stupid too. At least write more.

And no. The new handheld would be Minimum 2017, and home console minimum 2018.  99% certain.

Threads like this make me miss Toastboy.

I agree! Imo, his clones are pretty boring and they put little to zero effort in making their threads

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

what happened with their plan for a console in developing countries?

I guess they will announce said console this year.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Yeah I wonder about that as well, though it seems like a waste of resources to me (Unless it's a new Wii Micro or a 3DS TV (Capykatz!) or something).

I'm actually glad that the topic is short. Toastboy had no respect for my time, saying things for too long that where alreadly said before. By the way, wiiu was released here in brazil one year ago. There are problems, of course, but nothing that people can say: nintendo doesn't exist in brazil(but they do say: nintendo doesn't care about brazil).

Anyway, people need to realize that what nintendo is really looking into now is not a new console, but QOL. Maybe on the CES we see something.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
