I think that the main reason is that they might end up with bigger costs for an actual launch than they could make up for with sales since China is still an utterly useless console market. It might be the only market that is more hostile towards consoles than Japan is right now; and that really says something.

His Nintendo-related threads, earlier on in his career. He migrated to pro-Xbox threads after we really clamped down on his anti-Nintendo FUD.


Even then he kept some kind of negative prediction for Nintendo in all threads (but that is because he was using WiiU as the competitor since he accepted PS4 wouldn't be reached in the forseable future).

I read an interview with the Nintendo CEO and he was talking about China. He said that Nintendo might release a unique(a modified Wii/Wii U?) console out there cause the Chinese market is different.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

TF? Why would Ninty waste software development on HW that is either fading in popularity, or in Wii U's case, a total flop?  No way in hell U lasts until 2018, it still wont even crawl to 20 mil in that scenario.  3DS wont even sell as much as GBA.  & We saw what Ninty did when they were in a similar situation with GBA + GC, despite GBA's popularity, Nintendo added more to their business by introducing the "3rd pillar" in DS, because the GC was a flop.  I know theres talk about a QOL platform but its no guarantee to be a success like DS (most likely not) so they have no choice but to release a modern and desirable console.  You don't think Ninty misses those 20 and 30+ million sellers?  Ninty needs a larger install base to make big profits the U as a HW is simply not cutting it in sales.

No we'll see the console in 2017, it will be announced in 2016. The Wii had a 6 years and sold like crazy. The Wii U isnt selling like the Wii soNintendo will cut it a yer or two shorter than the Wii.

Yeah that seems to be the norm here which is sad, it's no wonder the majority of Xbox gamers stay in their XE thread most of the time.
