It's weird how they care so much about profit, which they should, concerning the Wii U that they won't drop the price, but they won't make more adapters. Nintendo is so confusing sometimes.

The more confusing thing is they didn't stop making the controllers, idk what they expect people to plug them into.

Based on the comments on Reddit, and another post of the Smash subreddit, it seems that this method is starting to not work at a lot of places.

It's kinda pathetic when you have to basically rely on a store "exploit" just to get a $20 piece of electronic.

Sighh, I knew I should have pre-ordered but I didn't think that there would even be a supply shortage let alone one thats this big! :/

I tried pre-ordering the big bundle that had the game+adapter+controller but it was sold out so I figured I'd just buy the game and adapter after...also never thought this was gonna happen.

I mean, if it was maybe $10 more, I would be like sure, w.e. but the lowest "new" one starts at $72!!! Like fuck! The thing costs $20 darn it!

Make sure to ask to place an "OMS" order, anything short of these keywords will lead to failure. Don't call either, because they will deny you. The representative lied to me and said they couldn't place warehouse orders and were completely out of stock. Had a friend who works at bestbuy place the OMS order and look at that I got two.. Thanks much, although as someone else pointed out if you look at the comments in the link the first couple of days people were having success, within the last couple of days not so much.  It's for his birthday though so I'll be giving it the ole college try regardless of the likely outcome.  I'll let you know if I have any success.
Hopefully the stock was part of a second shipment and not just a strange pocket of inventory they had temporarily misplaced (I work in a warehouse so I can see how that sometimes happens)
