So I got it today after placing an order in store with BestBuy. I ordered 2 GC adapters and they both arrived well before arrival date. I paid $43 with tax. So if you want a Gamecube adapter follow the instructions in the link. You go in store and ask to place an OMS order, give them the sku # for the GC adapter, give any additional info such as shipping methods or in store delivery (all methods free shipping). Follow this and you will have a GC adapter. I got two, one for me and my cousin so I'm all set now. Hope this helps anyone who was frustrated like I was looking for these things and not willing to spend insane prices for one. Good luck and hope it helps, also delete if old news.

In Canada you can only get it for over a hundred. I've already tried searching one for a friend; didn't work out so well. To be honest I'm just glad that I pre-ordered to in advance. Still don't know why Nintendo won't make more.

It is really unfortuante how these adapters turned out to be in terms of stock. I thought I could simply walk into a store and buy one, two days after getting smash I decided to buy an adapter.. That is when I realaized the stiuation. Luckily this method 100% works and is at a fair price and doesn't stuff bundles down people's throats like the Gamestop method. I hope Jizz can get one, they're literally sitting there in the bestbuy warehouse.
