Same reason they didn't make more copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy or Xenoblade, Nintendo hates money.

It's weird how they care so much about profit, which they should, concerning the Wii U that they won't drop the price, but they won't make more adapters. Nintendo is so confusing sometimes.

The more confusing thing is they didn't stop making the controllers, idk what they expect people to plug them into.
