Forums - Microsoft - So, more people are buying the $249 Halo 5 Guardians Collectors Edition than the $99 version.

Maybe they think the $249 version will come with a working multiplayer?

Would you say the same for another certain game that involves driving? But it should be noted that there are(so far)no issues regarding the multiplayer in the beta and the preorders reflect that.

Of course I would. One game being a messy disaster doesn't excuse others from doing the same.

That's no surprise. It's a limited edition collectors item, while some may purchase it for resale value. If anybody is a big fan or likes to collect statues/figures this is likely the version to purchase.

If you recall the new Batman Arkham Knight Batmobile edition is completely sold out and can no longer preorder.

They've yet shown the picture of the Halo statue but hopefully itll be worth it.

If I were a Halo fan I would probably preorder both limited editions and decide later, which one to cancel.

That's very impressive indeed. Just goes to show hardcore are hardcore for a reason :)

When i found out how little these collectors items generally cost to make, it did put me off a lot from buying them. I've still purchased a few when the models are really impressive. I recently purchased the AC unity watch and was totally unimpressed with the quality of it. Strangely enough I'm more happy with models than i am other stuff, generally feels higher cost/quality. My favourite so far is the Aliens Colonial marines (shame i paid full price for it), Rome total war 2's trebuchet and Max Payne 3.

Aren't the most expensive special editions of popular franchises always selling out the fastest?

Yup. Same thing happened with The Order.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

I will be going to pre-order mine shortly.

They are basicaly throwing money into a picture of a box...

I'm not Boxaro, i'm Nintendaro, but if Nintendo will make (example) a version of Mario Galaxy 3 at 249,99$... fuck, i don't buy it. :|
Too much... but is just a opinion.

Pre-ordered the 294$ version yesterday :)
