Why, just cos an early build looks graphically rough?

"Rough" is being extremely generous. The gameplay looks just as bad and, to be frank, those guys said that the game was 80% done 8 months before it was shown at E3. They don't get the benefit of the doubt from me. It looks like garbage.

What about the gameplay looks bad?
And according to the director the lighting, gun and character models, and textures have all been redone since E3.

The hand to hand combat in particular looks poor. I don't know why people are calling it "hack n slash," because it isn't. It's a glorified FPS melee attack that frankly looks rediculously overpowered. It doesn't look like there's a lock on system either, which is terrible in "hack n slash" games. The camera stays restricted, which is fine for shooters, but terrible for hack n slash games.
Then you'd at least think that all these hack n slash sacrifices would at least benefit the shooting, but the camera goes to first person every time you shoot most weapons. That makes literally no sence. They are making consessions for a TPS camera that is barely used, and in a high action action game like this, the constant shifts in perspective is disorienting.
The animations look terrible too, but you'll just say that it's because it was an early build. That brings me to my biggest point; if your game is so far from completion that it looks this bad, don't show it. Everything looks bad in the game from what they've shown. I'm not going to hope that the entire game will suddenly transform into something good just because the devs promise it. Sonic Boom's first gameplay trailer looked better than this game's, and they said the same things these guys are. It looks like garbage now, and I have absolutely no faith that it will get much better. They'd literally need to rebuild the entire game, and I don't see that happening because it would be financially stupid.

Actually, big red button never said they'd extensively upgraded sonic boom's graphics over the reveal trailer.
The switch in perspective doesn't look disorienting at all, TPS games do this with sniper rifles already. I can keep up with a change in camera angle, and I don't need a lock on to attack my enemies either.
This generation is rather amusing. Yes, yes continue!

Great OP btw, you honour the great Rol. |
Thanks! glad someone could see what I really meant by this post :)

4. Because its Nintendo But.. it is going to be on a Nintendo platform. So that means if someone is NOT GOING to buy it, thats going to be the Nintendo fans. I mean, how can MS and Sony fans boicot something that is not on their platform? 7. Because graphix
I think this one should not be a problem since Nintendo fans (the owners of the console this game is going to be in) are the ones always saying that they dont care about graphics. 1. Because its not Halo, Call of Duty, or Battlefield
I though Nintendo fans (again, the owners of the console this game is going to be in) did not care about any of those games to begin with, so I dont see why they should not give this one a try.

Don't take the thread too seriously ;)

If DT can become everything it *promises* to be (not necessarily the "shit" we've seen so far) and achieves decents sales in 2015, I'd consider gaming's greatest miracle of 2015.
There's so much I want from this game, but whether or not we'll get any of it is a different matter completely. DT really could have a lot to offer, but we need to see more of it.
