This is a possibilty. A SLIM Model by Sept.  But I can't see $299 before September/Nov without a Slim SKU.

You probably wont find the original source anymore, but that wath two months ago.

So there might likely be a Slimbox One showing up at E³. That cost reduced Box could be somewhere between 300-350 without any loss. Depends on how much cheaper MS gets stuff like power supply, mainboard layout, a redesigned case...

I keep wanting to say that it's way too early for that but then I remember that the PS4 will be over 2 years old next holiday season, this gen really feels like it has hardly begun to me.

Probably, but Slim Models are not MS exclusive. Sony also are designing a Slim Model.

Still MS is the one with the more expensive case, HDMI-in etc, the PS4 is cheaper in production mainly because of things like that.

Of course you are.  You are saying that the because the other consoles aren't doing as well, the PS4's success is irrelevant.  That is the context of what you are saying.  Why else would you say that the PS4 needs to sell 160 million?  Its okay.  PS4 is at least the sencond fastest selling console, it will surpass 50% and its success will not be a function of your bias lol.


Sony confirmed it to be the fastest selling console in history back at the PS event. 

Oh I agree, I am only speeking in context to the data here.  I think its a lot closer to 20 million than we think.

You're dreaming man. No way xb one hits 40M in USA. 360 is only on 44M and according to everyone other than vgc this is overtracking. Ps4 and Xb one are splitting the market which means roughly 30m each. And as for UK 360 is over 1M off reaching 10M which means 10M there is a pipe dream. The way the market is splitting there xb on will fall well short of 360. 

Which market are PS4XB1 splitting? They are way ahead of PS360 last generation. Obviously there is some spillover from Wii.

As for the UK, even if I'm slightly overestimating it there it will hardly matter much for the final total. Near 70m is still my guess.

wii u sales have been up 40% in US or possibly WW yoy

so this might be leading to a 600k(or more) npd for wii u due to this

and US is undertracked for the month by over 400k
