Forums - Nintendo - Could Mario Galaxy HD Collection be a thing?

I would love it. Galaxy is my favorite Nintendo title, and it would look quite nice in 1080p.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

I don't think so since the WiiU is backwards compatible with the originals. But why Sunshine HD isn't a thing is beyond me.

I´d rather have a Mario Galaxy 3, I still playing 1 and 2 on my WiiU and for me both still look awesome, even better on WiiU, so i don´t need that thing, anyway a 1080p 60fps collection would be nice if they announce first a Mario Galaxy 3.

Not a chance, because you can already play Mario Galaxy games on Wii U, but I can see them on next Nintendo console, and we have good chance to see Mario Sunshine remaster on Wii U.

I hope so.

That would be cool, but I would also love to see Mario 64 HD happen! Just imagine how cool it would be!

I don't think theyd release it on the Wii U because of sales. Nintendo would want to max profits, that's why we haven't even gotten any N64 games or remasters up till now.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

It's probably not a thing.

The Galaxies are already playable on WiiU though their original Wii versions and they aren't going to waste resources on remasters/remakes if that won't have a notable advantage. It's also why one shouldn't expect a Twilight Princess HD. Nintendo could of course just do this for shits and giggles and surprise me, but I don't think they're that kind of company. I'd sooner expect Sunshine, but even with that game I'm not totally sure because they probably know that the game has somewhat of a bad reputation and wouldn't have a very high demand.

Maybe on the next platform.
