$6 to rent? Jeezy Petes, at least make it reasonable. It's cool that they're doing this though.

Well since it's a brand new movie never shown in cinemas, it's not too bad. What would it've costed for you to see it in a cinema?

More, but you pay for the theater experience.  On my tiny TV that's a lot to pay to watch it once.

I reckon he's talking about blu-ray.

Plus there's also a Sony Pictures app on xbox.

And vevo which sony has a small stake in, which is on xbox and not on PS.

Most movie tickets are upwards of $12.

Not sure what the big deal is.

Pretty good price. I hope more films in the future have digital releases on the day they are released in cinemas. I know not a lot of films will do this because of pirating though, people will be able to get a HQ version of the film on release day with a digital release, whereas nowadays you can only get shitty cam quality.

The movie is probably bad, but I guess I'll download it to see what all the fuss is about. It will probably come to torrents in a few hours.

LOL no... We are all fully are that it sucks but the point is that here in America we have a thing called Freedom of Speech and will not be bullied by an oppressive dictator.  This is not the Movie of The Year.... but here in America it has the right to exist.   Just as, in America, you have the right to be against it and to speak your mind.

How is the United States being bullied by North Korea? It seems to me that this movie mocks a very young leader which could potentially breaks the dialogue United States sought to discuss a wide range of issues, and their relations.

Mind you, United States is no longer the only superpower it once were.

$7 where I'm at.  And at the theater you get the theater experience.  If I rented this it would be on my little TV or my littler monitor.

I'm of the opinion that a rental should be a couple bucks, regardless of circumstances.

Blu-ray my friend =P

You're aware MS have gains in blu ray too as well right?

Perhaps it was just a lighthearted comment :D

They really should have made the release worldwide, in less than an hour pirates will have it available to the rest of the world for free now.

But I am glad most of the profit made will go directly to Sony as opposed to the major theater chains that wussed out ( and that have yet to be called out publicly). Props to Microsoft and Google though, way to step up!

Overpriced movie to fight communism. Capitalism at its finest.

But $14 to see it in theaters, $20 for DVD, and $25 for Blu Ray is just fine, right?

5 euros in my country. 20$ for DVD is overpriced (12 euros max), 20 euros for bluray is fine as you can watch dubbed version at first, original second and japanese dub version for lulz with friends.
