My fault. Must be just me misunderstanding the words in the title and blowing it out of proportion. |
Don't worry, its not your fault.
Sorry for any confusion.

| jlmurph2 said: Exactly, I know people. Its why noone who posted this rumor bothered to look into it when Greenberg made the tweet 2 days ago. People like to blow things out of proportion when it comes to MS games. Are you saying it wasn't a rumor with that first line? |
Rumors are things started by people outside the loop, when they come to some conclusion about what they think they know is going on. Example, that guy from ND that had on his resume something about TLoU2. Someone else saw that and started the rumor that TLoU 2 is in development right now.
But you don't see anything about TLoU2 on the PS Store, Naughty Dog blog, etc. The Halo 5 thing, though? It, in a way, came from the horse's mouth by way of it being on Halo 5s official page on an XBone.
Look, all I'm saying is don't come down on and be condescending to fans about it. If I saw anything about The Last Guardian (a release date, going gold soon, etc) on the PS Store, I'd probably jump on it because PS news doesn't get more official than being on a Playstation console, itself. If that was the case, don't say that "you misunderstood", say that "It was a mistake. That shouldn't have been written". This seems to be the case with Halo. You're saying it's the fans' fault and they misunderstood what was a pretty clear message (which they came to a reasonable conclusion from) coming from the Xbox screen that was directly in front of them.

Fair enough.

Their wording was technically accurate, the other platform they were referring to was the open beta they've been hinting at for next year, because that would technically be another platform besides Halo: MCC. I mean honestly, people can't seriously have been expecting Halo 5 on PC after Halo 3 and Halo 4 skipped PC. Halo is their biggest system seller, their best chance to beat PS4 in the US and UK next year, they would not taint it's system selling capabilities by making it a timed exclusive. As usual everybody jumps to conclusions without first considering all of the evidence. |
You're obviously wrong. There's no way you could have come to that accurate conclusion.
Silly people thinking "may launch on other platform" meant "may launch on other platform".

Except you still don't understand what the platform is in this situation. Its not Xbox One, its Halo MCC.
Too much sarcasm in this thread! Sheesh! Not going to front though...I thought when I read the title meant that Halo 5 would be coming to PC. I said MS can't be crazy enough to put their beloved series on PC to share the wealth between Xbox One and PC. That would be hard to believe.

You already had this argument with vivster so I'm not going to argue this much, but the language they used was veeeery misleading. They themselves apologized and are fixing that. When MS says something misleading like that and people misinterpret it it's on MS not the fans. Who the hell says "timed exclusive may come to other platform" in that situation. They could have easily said "exclusive to MCC owners for a limited time, may release outside the game" or something like that. Besides everyone treated it as a rumor. I haven't seen one person saying that it'll be on PC confirmed.

Yep good post
You have to be some kind of an ass to say "please don't launch this game on X platform."
It doesn't effect you in the slightest. If Naughty Dog suddenly wanted to release uncharted on Xbox I wouldn't petition them not to. Anyone saying that basically just wants to take enjoyment away from somebody else.
