wow dude. you seem pissed.
To answer your question, blu ray is well worth it, and so are the great sequels to the series' and new IP's.
PS3 will easily do well enough to warrant a PS4, and i wouldn't be surprised if by 2009-2010 Sony will be making a profit on each PS3 sold. Also just to let you know, it hasn't sold less than 169,000 in a week this year. Thats 9 weeks so far, and still going strong. It will easily surpass the 360, and old consoles such as the N64. |
Pissed?, no my friend, if I was a PS3 owner I would be pissed, lol.
Tell me, what would you rather have? PS3 as the undisputed dominating force of this generation with all of the killer titles still exclusive (And no my friend, no it isn't nor will it ever be), or things as they are with Blu-Ray as the dominant HD format with the PS3 in last place having lost so many exclusives and so many titles.
The fact you even choose to see a Sony product outdoing the dissapointing N64 or once laughable MS brand as a sign of promise is proof enough of how far the mighty have fallen and how easy it is to forget that Sony was once the undisputed god of gaming.
If it wasn't for Blu-Ray, The PS3 would most likely be first place in not closing in on the spot just as it is now closing in on second place and would have kept all of its exclusives making it even more powerful.
Like good little sheep you eagerly swallow Sony's P.R. hype wanting so badly to believe that Blu-Ray is the PS3's savior, not its damning X-factor. You're incapable of seeing Blu-Ray as having brought any loss to the PS3 what-so-ever, instead, you view things strictly in the present as if the launch never happened and now the PS3 is being saved from unknown misfortune by Blu-Ray, yet ironically you claim at the same time people aren't actually buying it for Blu-Ray alone. It seems you want to have your cake and eat it too in just too many ways.
You try an ignore the unfixable follies of the past and present in favor of believing there is some holy ground just over the horizon. I'm not saying the PS3 is doomed, or that we shouldn't be hopeful for it. But to act like the PS3 hasn't been the biggest mistake in gaming since the Virtual Boy is just damned dillusional.
