Isnt W101 a first party game though? I know Platinum made it but its Nintendo's game, similar to Luigi's Mansion 2.

Luigi's Mansion 2 and W101 are both Second party games. Luigi's Mansion is a first party IP, but Dark moon is a 2nd party game. I'm not sure about the W101 IP.

While watching the announcement of codename steam and thinking about splatoon, it's like they want to make a shooter franchise...but without real guns (devil's third being the only exception but even that seems a bit wacky)

Actually...go ahead and include first party IPs that are second party games. I just realized that half of those games disappear if you don't count them.

I think adding 1st party and Nintendo IPs is best. The thing is  i dont know about HW? Its tecmo's game but it has Zelda characters...... ?
