I loved  how Pikmin 3 allowed you to control three characters at once with the GamePad. Even if it was only limited to marking a trail for two npc characters, it was a really cool and practical feature. This got me thinking - how many Wii U games even use this feature?  Are there any other games besides Pikmin 3 where you can mark NPC partner's destination and even que their actions afterwards?

The reason why I ask this is because I think this feature is something only the GamePad can do seamlessly and enjoyably for home console games. For example, Fallout New Vegas lets you journey with two other characters in the game. Wouldn't it be awesome if you can tell your sniper partner to camp at a specific place so you can you lead the enemy to him? Or maybe you can make your partner charge the enemy from the behind, forcing the enemey to run into you head on? How about a survival horror game where you can control your NPC partner? I think it's features like this that can make the GamePad's touchscreen stand out. What do you guys think?

There are also DS games that have this feature. One such game was Zelda: Spirit Tracks which lets you control Phantom Zelda to distract and destroy enemies while you were controlling Link. There was even a boss battle that allowed you to control Link and Phantom Zelda together to defeat the boss! Imagine if you could have a partner like that in Zelda U?

If there are good Wii U games that have these features, please let me know!

I know this is not quite what you were getting at but the only one I am aware of is Animal Crossing: Sweet Day on Nintendo Land. If you are the guards you control 1 with the left hand and the second with your right using the analogs and the bumpers for each hand. Kind of challenging chasing multiple people at once and doing a good job of it with both guards simultaneously. Very simple game but my buddy and our kids got a lot of laughs from each other while playing it.

I still need to get that game. But it's too expensive for how short it is. :(

It's not, but it sounds interesting! I don't own Nintendo Land myself but if I ever decide to pick that up I'll definitely take a look at that mini-game.

To clarify why it's not, I was thinking about controlling the other character with less freedom than the main character you're using like Pikmin 3. Also, the two characters you control in that mini-game seem to have very basic actions since each character is controlled by a controller stick. My idea of controlling the other characters doesn't take away actions for the main character that can be performed by face buttons (A, B, X, Y).

I liked the Animal Crossing game from NintendoLand.

You don't finish the game in 15 hours in the first time; like, seriously, no. And even then, there's Mission Mode, which can easily make more than 20 hours of gameplay, not counting DLC.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I did XD But I didn't get all the fruits yet. I found Pikmin games pretty easy yet fun though. There was only 4-5 times that I lost more than 20 pikmin in one day. This includes the days that I had to retry as well.

Oh cool. I'll get it after Smash and Bayonetta 2.

So do you regularly lose at least one Pikmin per day? If so, it would sound too much for me lol

It's not on Wii U, but "Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons" is an excellent game! I'm not sure what other platforms you own.
