Forums - Sony - How's Killzone SF compared to the old ones?

The worst game in series, both online and offline. The online is so shitty that you get killed without knowing why and by who. You just hear this strange noise and die. Nothing in the series can top KZ2.

Around the Network

I feel bad for this game because fans and critics wouldn't allow it to be what it was. KZ2 was when it came into its own and because the overshadowing popularity of COD and Halo people kept making comparisons.

KZ SF has the best multiplayer in the history of the franchise, but the single player goes to KZ2. Sony has a growing FPS and TPS community and a lot of them are very...very good.

TPS? Which games? I would love to see SOCOM on PS4 (Or...syphon filter? I wish they revived that)

Sony has found their niche making TPS games. They are really good at it...which is why they put so much faith in the Order. Uncharted and Last of Us are their main TPS games. Uncharted 4 is going to be so epic. I cannot wait to see how large the maps are in that game because Uncharted 3 and 2 was just so eventful. Its not like Gears at all. Tomb Raider tried to rip it off but failed big time.

If by Sony, you mean Naughty Dog, then probably yes. They can back the Order because Ready at Dawn have great games before, they were also set up by ex-Naughty Dog developers...

I think it's pretty good. I think the key difference is that it's a bit more fast paced than it's predecessors, certainly more so than 2, even if it's not like old CoD let alone Advanced Warefare and Titanfall. The game experiements with open levels early on, but cuts back on it as the story progresses (it's not a terrible story)

MP I found reasonably fun, but I'm not a huge fan of online multiplayer in general

The campaign doesn't look like the others. It's more like an infiltration game than a war one like KZ2 and KZ3. I would say that it looks more like KZ: Mercenary in the campaign: lone wolf with a lot of high tech gadgets.

The MP looks more like KZ2, and that's good. It's more like a war simulator, you play as a team or you will get destroyed and classes do matter a lot. KZ3 was more like a regular team deathmatch shooter. I would say SF MP edges KZ2 one because KZ2 sometimes was too hardcore and things became a PITA. SF just puts that little, little bit of KZ3 flexibility in there and, in my opinion, achieves the best balance and the best MP in the series.

I know what I mean when I said Sony. Naughty Dog is a representative of Sony and they would not have delved into third person shooters if it wasnt for Sony. Much like the owners of Rare left when they sold it to MS so to did the owners of Naughty Dog. Those companies will never leave either unless the company sells it off before going under. Whoever runs the the company better is your decision from there.

I agree with your assessment of KZ:SF...you'll find no argument from me there.
