Forums - Nintendo - Amiibos sell 104k FW in Japan

Not bad. It's doing well overall, still questions on whether it will be a front loaded figure or if it will have some sort of impact. Still don't think these games utilise it well, but I'm expecting next year we'll see a game or two that does.

Nice one!!!!

and does anyone know that if the Zelda Amiibo will also get a weapon in Hyrule warriors?

Comes with a weapon DLC for HyWa, probably the most value of all the amiibo.

Also, Zelda might not be massively popular in Japan compared to Nintendo's other franchises, but the core fanbase who are there tend to love it.

Yeah thats true seeing as most of their franchises are very casual heavy or niche.

So only one Amiibo sold per two Smash copies. And that in Japan. So much for one billion in revenue a year some were hoping for.

Judging by these sales i would say 3 - 4 million figures total after multiple years.

Why else do you think Link got prettier and prettier??

Edit: Almost forgot the prettiest boy of all

Seriously the character designers at Omega Force are freaking amazing.

Pretty good sales numbers. I wonder if Nintendo can keep up the momentum with these figures.

Really? That was only for 1 week there. They're still selling quite well in general.

3-4 million in multiple years seems ridiculously low.
