Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Want My Money? "No We Dont Want that $**t" :-/

Aren't they being discontinued cause of people that don't want to buy them? Cause from what I can tell, those are the least popular so keeping them on selves is costing Nintendo money if those aren't selling very well

That's kinda my thought too. If they were selling well, they would likely be getting a second shipment. I don't understand exactly how the Amiibo assembly lines are set up, but I imagine they're done in pretty sizable batches to make sure the manufacturing is as cost-effective as possible. If the demand is too small, it might just not be worth it to have another batch created.

I am disapointed that a character from a universe I love won't be getting another shipment...but since I have no intention of buying it anyway, I guess you can say I'm part of the problem. :P Hopefully there is enough demand to warrant re-continuing some of these figures.

Yea, well, I am guessing these toys will be back in a later date (apart from wii fit trainer) when the respective games get released. I see no way in hell that the villager wont be coming back when/if animal crossing for wiiU gets announced or marth for SMT x FE. But as of right now, these aren't very popular and shelve space on retail is expensive so if they aren't selling as well as expected, then out with the "old" and in with the "new" loll

I wanna give them my money for the GC adaptor, but they wont let me.

Isn't that the case of most Japanese developers/publishers?

You still think Japanese devs are making a mistake avoiding Xbox One

They rather get a bag of money and release a game on one console than take a risk on Xbox.

Their business practice are laughable to say the least.

I'm assuming your talking about SFV.  They needed that bad of money or the game wouldn't have been made at all, there was no choice about taking the cash or making the game on X1 also.  They didn't even have the resources toport SF4 to next gen let alone make SF5.

You want them to spend a bunch of cash porting a game to a console that has a 39k userbase in Japan? I would call that a pretty laughable business practice.

Yes X1 is a Japanese local console.

Laughable...

But then how is that at all different from TitanFall with the addition of Userbase disparity?

OT: Nintendo sure is skilled. They do what they do so well, that they succeed despite being stuck a decade in the past.

Not talking about SFV.

In general Japanese devs don't cater to Western gamers that much. That's what I'm talking about.

Cause Western Xbox fans are so receptive to Japanese titles. How did D4 do again? Last I heard it wasn't doing too well.
