Yup. If the 7k-10k gap is true and neither console reached 1 mil it would put XB1 between 909k and 1mil and it would put PS4 between 899k and 990k.

and the Wii U needs to go down too.

And after the first weeks of Nov a majority were saying XBO will in NPD. The fact is before this thread a lot of people expected XBO to win and it did. It's only surprising that the gap is so small if those CBOAT numbers do in fact turn out to be true.

Silly them. They should have easily guessed the X1 would win, after all it won by a whole 10k in reality.
So if the 7 - 10k gap is correct.. statistical tie!

Yes but I'm saying that was at the start of the month when people had little information to go by, just that there was a price cut. It hadn't really increased sales massively the last time the price was cut either. But after data and reports came in people changed their mind and the majority of people, even PS fans, were unanimous that XBO would win November as displayed in that December thread.
Basically you are comparing a speculation sales thread to an after-analysis thread.

Yeah, actually Amazon Monthly (and BF) charts imply a close month in fact. Monthly has 2 PS4 skus in the top 20, which indicate a fairly close month even though ACU bundle was at #2 for the month. And the Amazon BF chart was GTAV bundle as the top console sku all day.
I think the 7-10K gap in the OP nees to have a ? as it's not sufficiantly confirmed. But if the gap is close (udner 100K) is means Amazon best seller is becoming an even better predictor of relative console sales, because for sure PS4 won Black Friday if the total monthly gap is fairly low.
I reckon CBOAT mis-typed and the gap is 70-100K. If that's the case then MS really has a tough generation ahead of it with it's best market potentially being the UK, in terms of market share.

From NeoGaf:
"Cumulative PS4 & Xbox One sales are now almost 80 percent higher than the combined total of PS3 and Xbox 360 sales after 13 months..." -NPD
"Using 75% as the minimum increase and 80% as the maximum.
PS4 + Xbox One ranges from 1.79 million to 2.09 million."
Also if we know he highest NPD for Xbox One we can determine that the 10k difference seems legit. They basically tied and the Xbox One is hella overtracked. So if Xbox One is 960k and PS4 = 950k then total is 1.9 million for both, which is inline with NPD report statement. Xbox One is at least 400k overtracked on chartz.
PS4 still maintains 1 million + lead.
Edit. This may be the single greatest overtrack I have ever seen. Also, there is a chance that the PS4 is overtracked as well. When you consider that the Wii U is also overtraked, this has to be the worst estimated month ever... but to be honest I think ioi did the best with what he had.
Also, the 10% increase in Wii U sales shows that Smash was not a system seller at all. In fact, that 10% increase could have occurred even if Smash hadn't been released in Nov. Really incredible when you consider how much Mario Kart 8 helped the Wii U. Seems like people who wanted Smash already had a Wii U by the time it came out.
This is like Majin Vegeta exploding in an attempt to kill Fat Buu.. the only difference with the PS4 in the equation is instead of Fat Buu, he's replaced with Buuhan.
