Maybe to people that only started gaming in the PS1 era.. And even then in that era Street Fighter was much more better on the saturn and thats where the "Real" SF fans went to.

Makes since, Capcom and Namco made use of Sega NAMOI and other boards in the 90s so it made since that their games ran better on hardware model after the boards.  The addition of the ram cart for the Saturn helped a lot in terms of bringing arcade perfect games to the saturn, but im sure Sony was thinking more mass market.

Meh... I never identify Street Fighter as one of the 'PlayStation' franchises. With those I'm thinking more about Tekken, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts or even Grand Theft Auto besides the 1st party games.
