Skyward Sword's presentation felt so dated it almost hurt, and that was entirely due to no voice acting. Here you had Nintendo trying to tell this grand epic story in grand epic cutscenes in 2011...and everyone was silent. It was absolutely jarring and completely unacceptable for a modern game. If Zelda U doesn't have voice acting then Nintendo really is too stuck in the past sometimes for their own good.
The argument that Link has to represent anyone and any name so there can't be voice acting is beyond ridiculous. Just don't have the NPC's call him by name. RPG's with voice acting have done that for decades, and yet they're still considered "role-playing" where your character can be your avatar.
