Are they essentially the Pulse Elites minus the whole Pulse thing??

Edit: Sound wise of course

I have pulse elites and I checked out reviews. The elites seem to have better audio, more volume and bass. Elites are bulkier though. I think Gold has slightly longer battery life.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Ok then, I too have the Elites, was wondering if the Gold was as good.

i've owned a pair for a few months and they work well

haven't had any problems with them except that they appear smaller in the ad so i figured i could hook them up to my phone and walk around with them and i can but to me they are too bulky( not in weight just the size ) to use outside of the house

that's my only gripe with them really; the audio quality is great and the cups are comfortable

I'm getting these for Christmas so I can let you know then, but for what I read for $99, it's delivers awesome sound quality.

They are great.  They generally run about $80 on Amazon and has been low as $69.  I think Amazon had a lightning deal around $50 once.  Newegg has been low as $55, but they always sell this around $75.  Only recently, everybody raised their prices to $99.  Also, everyone has sold out, so you won't be able to get this cheap.  I would wait until after Christmas, and once everybody has this back in stock, you'll be able to get this for a decent price.

Yeh at the time I was looking at them they were $75, I told my wife they were on sale and to buy them now if she wanted to get me a good gift for Christmas, if she doesn't get them I'm going to buy them myself, but I hinted to it many times.

I've had the original Playstation Wireless Stereo Headset for over 3 years, and it still works great, even after hours of use each day on my computer. I bought the Gold Headset earlier this year for my PS4, and it is even better.

Ok, i purchased the old model of these.

Those bad boys. They look the exact same. They perform great i loved them when i had them would definitly recommend them from a performance and price standpoint.

Some cons. The earpieces shread up if you use them alot (possibly improved). They handle some abuse (falling, throwing, bending) however they are one piece of plastic that goes around your head. So if that breaks which i have had happen your pretty much screwed. Unless you are McGyver and can put them in a helmet or something they will go on your head right at all. The ones i had also use a Bluetooth adapter if they use that adapter aswell for the love of god protect that thing. I have my ps4/ps3 in a rather unsafe spot (Im a cluts too and i have a 4 year old son whos toy box is right beside my ps4/ps3) and it had tumbled off my stand if it lands on that adapter your fucked. There is no way to get a replacement, ive tried they dont sell them alone, if that happens you are buying another pair (unless you have a warrenty). I see they put a audio cable on them now so you have some added insurance there.

I bought another pair when my first pair's adapter went down then when the headset themselves broke i was stuck without a headset until i figured out how to resync the headset to a new adapter. Eventually they too broke and even if they didnt sony has yet to update the ps4 to recognize the older model headset (so shitty) so id still be up shit creek anyway.

EVERY GAMERS WORST NIGHTMARE...THE TANGLING CABLES MONSTER!

       Coffee is for closers!

Ive had the whitw ones ever sincw I pickwd up the white ps4. I always use the headsets when im on ps4 even when im on Live With Playstation. Like I litterally put the headsets on before I tuen on the PS4.

One thing that I still havnt dully figurwd out is about the mic. Sometimes people cant hear me and other times they can.

You have a "Chat audio" button and a "Game audio" button and supposedly you can't have them both at 100% at the same time. Like if you have your chat audio at 50% and your game audio at 50% but decide to turn your game audio up to 60% then your chat audio will automatically drop to 40%.. or something like that

I just feel like we need some type of test that lets us hear how loud we sound to other people.

So far the only way I can tell how I sound is by litterally getting online and attempting to ask people if they can hear me.

I was on PVZ one time and I had turned my chat audio all up a lot and one of the guys asked me to turn it down and I did and asked later if he was able to hear me and he said "I can hear you just fine" so who knows

Basically I usually just set the headset to recieve both chat and game audio then I turn them each up by 7 noches(just a random thing I do) but I still dont know how well I sound to people or what level I should put the chat audio at to be heard clearly

Okay, thanks guys!

I'll be picking 'em up Thursday, there's a few stores in an electronics district that seems to be selling 'em for around (the equivalent of) 65-75USD. Hopefully I'll be able to play 'em off each other to save a bit more cache on top of that.

Huh,. Now I want to buy one.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531
