Ok, i purchased the old model of these.

Those bad boys. They look the exact same. They perform great i loved them when i had them would definitly recommend them from a performance and price standpoint.
Some cons. The earpieces shread up if you use them alot (possibly improved). They handle some abuse (falling, throwing, bending) however they are one piece of plastic that goes around your head. So if that breaks which i have had happen your pretty much screwed. Unless you are McGyver and can put them in a helmet or something they will go on your head right at all. The ones i had also use a Bluetooth adapter if they use that adapter aswell for the love of god protect that thing. I have my ps4/ps3 in a rather unsafe spot (Im a cluts too and i have a 4 year old son whos toy box is right beside my ps4/ps3) and it had tumbled off my stand if it lands on that adapter your fucked. There is no way to get a replacement, ive tried they dont sell them alone, if that happens you are buying another pair (unless you have a warrenty). I see they put a audio cable on them now so you have some added insurance there.
I bought another pair when my first pair's adapter went down then when the headset themselves broke i was stuck without a headset until i figured out how to resync the headset to a new adapter. Eventually they too broke and even if they didnt sony has yet to update the ps4 to recognize the older model headset (so shitty) so id still be up shit creek anyway.
