We need a 2D Metroid, it's been so long...

Next year? Zelda U of course! Is there any doubt over that? :/

I'm betting another unannounced Wii U game is coming next year. Paper Mario or Animal Crossing.
As for 3DS... I don't know what the hell they can release for it except sequels. 3D Land 2, bunch of spin offs maybe?

for 3DS, i think will be a new game, exclusive and bundled with N3DS.

There's that Pikmin title they wanted to do for portable systems, a 2D Metroid, something Advance Wars related,a new Mistery Dungeon...

And with the N3DS coming, we can make compilations or remasters: Golden Sun, some Fire Emblem, Mario Galaxy, Captain Raimbow (bring weir titles to the west, we need more japanese sense of humor here), Eternal Darkness (even if the WiiU would probably get that one if true)...

3rd parties could make something too: a 2D Ninja Gaiden, a 2D GTA, a Digimon title, Megaman (pleeeeease), FF Tactics, a Persona game (not SoQ spin-off, an original Persona, like P3 for PSP or P4G for Vita), maybe a Worms game, an actually decent Sonic (made by the guys that made Rush, Colors DS and the Advance series)...

We could have so many games, so many quality titles...

Yeah, but besides a new Mistery Dungeon, I think none of those are fitting for the holidays. 2D or 3D Metroid might be it, but it isn't a big seller so I expect it to release on Fall.

I think it will be Super Matio 3D Land 2 or Yokai Watch.

Youkai Watch might work, but I don't see it released on holydays. They might try releasing the first YW during spring, and if it's succesful, the second ones on december.

Next year, Nintendo will need to sell the N3DS, so something like Mario Galaxy, a Pokemon spin-off or a Professor Layton (sells wonderfully on Europe) ,ight be preferable.

I think YW release will also depend on the anime. Maybe simultanous release? But your idea makes sense.

And regarding the N3DS, they will try to sell it maaaaybe in Japan first. I'm sure if they start releasing exclusive content next year Worldwide, people will get pissed. Sure, most game will likely be remakes, but that's still one less game for the OG3DS.
