Nintendo is a smart company. When people ask, "why don't they just cut the Wii U price?" this is why. They've created an ecosystem where they can thrive with relatively low hardware sales.

So the amiibos are printing a lot of money!!, good for Nintendo, seems that the little plastic figurines will keep the Nintendo business strong, now that they are the new trendy success for the company!

Nintendo will post profits because of this.
