They didn't show this in the keynote because they're saving it for later. This isn't an official announcement, this is merely acknowledging that it's being worked on, similar to Gears of War (GoW lol) 4 on the XBO.
The PlayStation Experience is awesome! This is awesome! Its like an encore to the best part of E3! I hope they do this every year.

Most likely. E3 2015 reveal and if they have another PSX event in 2015 then that is where we will see gameplay.

Yeah, holiday 2016 seems plausible. Would also explain why they didn't formally announce it during the PSX keynotes. It's find to comment that you're working on it, but once you officially announce it you start the hype train. Difficult to keep that hype going for 2 years.

I'm personally glad they're working on a new one. GOW has always been best when it's trumping its own scale, and the PS4 is a good chance for them to go completely crazy. That said, i want it to be the last. I'd like to see what else SSM are capable of.
