Animal Crossing will be a launch title for the next Nintendo handheld (Fusion). The game's producer said the games work better on handheld and while they were looking at a Wii U version, it may end up on some "other" hardware. Which was kind an odd remark to make.

It would be a good launch title. Mario Galaxy 3 could come in after to ensure there isn't a post launch lull like the Wii U and 3DS suffered from. 

IMO I think what Wii U is getting is Splatoon instead of an Animal Crossing game (from AC team members).

Good point. Next year's already stuffed!

Nintendo announces the re-purchase of RARE from Microsoft.

An all new 3d Donkey Kong Adventure that is a follow up to Donkey Kong 64 is announced for 2016.
Banjo 3 is announced for 2017.
A crossover Banjo/Donkey Kong/Mario game is announced for late 2017 in which all 3 heroes must team up in order to find out where the witch hid the key to the Ice Viking King's prison cell, where he tells you the whereabouts of Bowser who has kidnapped Princess Peach, the Golden Banana, and Kazooie.
