That's a bit simplistic. Let's take Titanfall and TR as an example for why this is different.

Titanfall was equally immensely popular on both sides(it's a shooter with mechs after all) yet it was made exclusive, apparently without even the knowing of the devs. --> Fan outrage

TR has its biggest audience on Playstation yet was made exclusive on the opposite platform. --> bigger fan outrage

SF has its vast majority of fans already on Playstation. Comparing the sales, SF was almost niche on Xbox. Making it exclusive to PS4 and PC will hurt the least amount of people. -> very minor outrage

 

But yeah, some fans will be pissed. As in 3 or so.

Well yeah, thats why gaming websites would break. Wouldnt surprise me if it ended up like SFV though, not one bit.

Makes sense that Capcom is making PS4 exclusive on consoles considering is more associated with PS console/japanese consoles than XB, and the fact that PS4 is already outselling 2:1 XBO.

SF V was going to sell a lot more on PS4 than XBO by the way.....This way Capcom can use the PS fandom that will buy the game because is exclusive even if it is not a fan of the saga.
