Forums - Gaming - Why Does Everybody Hate Nintendo? I mean C'mon!

Joke thread? Or freudian slip at the end there?

Take one more look and give me the answer :p

Don't take it to heart. The tastes in gaming is changing but Nintendo is doing just fine. Many gamers grew up with Nintendo but moved over to more "grown up" consoles with guns and wars. I don't really care about that because that's their choice. People don't hate Nintendo, if you do please give me a valid reason to "hate". People just don't feel that they need their products. Some people like me, do love their products. It depends on who you talk to.

So, you whine about Nintendo or microsoft ?

or Sony?

Cuz Internet.

Everything that has existed has the ability to be hated.

Pretty much. It doesn't help that our entire social structure is based on generalizations and social divisions, which encourages disliking things/people (I've mentioned that twice in 10 minutes now ).

If you like [x], and [y] is competing with it, then obviously [y] and everything related to it is the spawn of Satan and should be berried in a deep hole.

Would be interest to read a study that compares actual dislike to associated dislike. *goes and looks to see if it exists*

Cause they have been...

But they havn't died yet

Not everyone. Mostly purchased jurno's and bots. Just like any industry, some competitors play dirty. Then weak minded individuals who mistake their own competing products for having birthed them jump on that bandwagon and join the bashing. Aka my mama is the best, not Nintendo. Sad really. It's usually people who don't have a whole lot going on so they need to feel like they belong. Psychology 101.

Fyi, your title says Nintendo and your post says Microsoft. The above applies to both. Update: now I see :p

It's funny how some people try to look like they actually read the first post properly but fail to notice the third nuance in there. And of course there's some heroes that didn't even bother to read the first post at all. All this in 22 minutes.

EDIT: This bold is extremely annoying. Person who started it, please stop it. It's affecting other users too.

Just going to let you know that there is an unfinished Bold tag in your post that has screwed up the entire page.

The key is to hate everything and everyone equally. Don't discriminate and hate away.

Whoops I've changed the place holders to [x] and [y] instead; should fix it.
