in reallity this, but in my opinion the way MS market the X1 as a system for movies, games tv and tv and tv etc. plus how much they focus on the popular genres of games (shooters, FPS, and sports) on their exclusives and on their deals with multiplats like COD and Madden pretty much settles it as the system for the DUDE BRO gamer, or in other words the casual gamer who only plays its yearly COD and Madden tittle, with maybe one excluse (probably Halo or gears since they are shooters)

I'm going with X1 on this one. While it may not be the most popular system (though it's current popularity in the US seems to rival PS4's) it seems to be all about TV, sports, and CoD. PS4, while still attracting much of that crowd and is more of a popular system, has more of an attraction to core gamers. WiiU, unlike Wii, seems to be, for the most part, only attracting core gamers and Nintendo fans.

All of them are equally casual.... Yes, including the Ouya!

Xb1. Games like Skylander, Lego and Dinesy sell better on Xb1 than Ps4 in America while having even a lower installbase.

The WiiU is now a hardcore system, for Nintendo fans.
Playstation always was a gameconsole and mediaplayer. And after the Xb1 got Bluray, too now and no more paywall for apps, the Ps4 is even more just a gaming console


Last but not least: Universal apps afther windows 10 realse. This all will make the Xb1 the casual console of choice. Not necessarily the better selling, ofc

The PS4 is the casual console of the generation.

It caters to a massive audience of non gamers/casual gamers. I mean who buys a console to play with the "playroom" option and fiddle with a "share" button? No hardcore gamers I tell ya.

Every console can be played casually depending on the owner's interests. I don't think any one is inherently more casual just because of the types of games on them, it all depends on how much it gets used.
