Expected by who? :) Xbox One exclusives sold very well based on the user base.
Also when Jay is talking about Exclusive Games he is not talking about sales but about the "perception" of the person who wants to buy a next gen console.
And the Xbox One is offering a very good and competitive amount of AAA exlusives.

Pretty much.  If X1 outsells PS4 by as much as it is estimated to have done this week, then it will only take between 100-150 weeks to catch up and overtake PS4 in the UK.

Lol no.... If the day of tomorrow PS4 don't have FIFA or COD and XBO does, for example, you can cut the price all you want of the PS4, but XBO will sell a lot better. It's been since forever and always will be:

GAMES > PRICE > POWER

The fact that multiplats like COD, GTA or FIFA are the best sellers is not because they're multiplats; they're multiplats because they're the best sellers.

Price is not the most important factor, never has been, it helps of course, but it's always second to the games. PS2 wasn't the cheaper console back then and trounced the competition.

For mass market, nope. Price > Games and Power is not even relevant (both are branded as next gen console, it is all that matter for Mr. everybody).

Games may become the first factor only when they are really a huge gap between the two but right now it does not make any difference. Even if the Xbox One got more AAA exlusives than the PS4, mass market does not really care. Maybe one AAA will boost the sales for a week or two tho but in the long run the price is the main factor when you have such similarities on the software side.

it has zero chance of coming anywhere near the PS4 in the EU. If it only drew with the PS4 in it's strongest EU market it's fucked for the EU over all.

ps4 is very pricecompetetive in the uk.

Sunset Overdrive+MCC+Forza Horizon 2  has sold roughly 2m combined so far and still selling more.  Not to mention other games like Killer Instinct, TitanFall, and Forza Motorsports that are still going to sell.Sunset and FH2 will very likely reach 1-2m lifetime on XBO and bigger sellers like MCC, Forza motorsports, and TitanFall will be anywhere between 2-4m lifetime.  Who knows how much KI has sold other than it being a big success for MSFT.

What im saying is that its not just the games that has released this holiday but the whole library.  However yes i expect the XBO to go back down after the holiday which is typical.  What XBO is doing is outpacing both PS3 and X360 in their first year which is an accomplishment.  However it is undermined because people see PS4's record breaking numbers.  This is where the statement comes in, im happy with XBO succeeding and i dont need it to be in first place to be happy.  It however is nice to see it being successful right now and it certainly isnt only price, though still a major factor.

On that we agree. It is just too late anyway for Europe (price or not).

Xbox One will be viable in Europe (compared to Japan ) but they will never beat the Playstation brand. At least for this generation, way too late.

Then again that's a better turn around time than Sony's profitability xD
