Forums - Sales - [INFO] Black Friday! X1 Dominates, Other Statistics! [Walmart/Target Top SKU's]1. X1 AC:U + 2. PS4 GTA5/TLoU + 3. 3DS NSMB2 (Target: WiiU SM3DW)

what we debate in here is not about win, or salty, i guess we can accept the condition if the method and their formula to count the statistic and number is scientifically, but the fact the research group is not credible.

You can claim Xbox win but we also have to put the reliable source in discussion. i hope there is no more people calling another people salty.

Not at all, they were completely wrong last year, even more than any other prediction.

Last year, it was :

And we know the result, the ps4 sold better than Xone. I don't even understand how this thrad is not locked with a "source" like this one. Even Toastboy is better than this.

Do we know who sold more last year on black friday?  Or are we just using NPD?  Because its important to note PS4 was out a week longer than XBO.

As for the comments in this thread, wait for VGC and NPD numbers and relax.  Whatever happens, happens

Why are people saying PS4 outsold X1 on BF 2013? It's a well known fact that X1 outsold PS4 on BF 2013 but PS4 won NPD with the 1 million sold on day 1 which gfave them the overall boost.

BF is 1 day or a weekend of sales roughly and NPD is a whole month. One could win NPD and the other could have won BF.

We should be suspicious of a company that we only hear of when Xbox One is on top.  Where is InfoSouct the 49 weeks of the year when it's not good data for Xbox One?

They seem to be focusing on Target & Walmart only, so that makes things very biased.  Target especially should be taken as the most Xbox One biased store this holiday.  The $50 giftcard offer, plus Target Redcard member 5% savings essentially make XB1 ACU bundle just $262.55.  So hell yeah should've sold like hotcakes at Target, but not as well elsewhere.

Why do you think Greenberg went there? Hell, he's already retweeting this article!

wtf?
this are black friday sales

was gtav at sale on black friday? no
was just dance, madden and shadow of mordor f*cking cheap at every retailer

of gtav sold bad on black friday. just like every other full price game (if u don't got a gift card with bundle purchase u used for)

Yeah we all agree that this chart makes no sense.   Its just all wrong. Don't even know where to start... well, for one there is no way in hell that Watch Dogs charted but SSB did not.   Pokemon, Halo, and GTA are way too low.  And Madden... just no.

Considering you needed to download 2 apps on your phone and send a picture of your receipt to get some offers, all from the same city (that's how infoscout got their info) and that the top 2 sellers are Madden and COD yeah, it's not difficult to see why Xbox topped those charts.

I'd rather wait until either Microsoft or Sony make their inevitable post BF PR announcement.

I think they are just getting NPD and BF confused.  Of course, as I pointed out before, we can use last year's PS4 data to prove they are wrong, since they show that PS4 and PS3 sold basically the same.  Of course, that is wrong since the PS4 sold only ~100K on Black Friday week, while the PS3 must have sold at least 250K-300K (they sold 420K for the whole month.)  Their methodology is just incredibly flawed.

If we you take thinner BF crowds (http://news.walmart.com/news-archive/2014/11/28/walmart-statement-on-2014-early-black-friday-results), greated and slower selling PS4 stock (Many stores have already confirmed this.), the infoscout survey's reliance on data from Walmart and Target (the X1 giveaway store this year), retailers anticipation of BF sales shifting to Cyber Monday (http://news.walmart.com/news-archive/2014/11/28/walmart-statement-on-2014-early-black-friday-results), Sony's stated online sales strength, and the PS4 dominace on online retailers, I would fully expect this to be a neck-and-neck race this November.

Everyone should keep in mind that Sony's sales may end up greater, but miss both the BF and NPD cutoffs. That would probably hand both to XI and December to PS4.
