What about movies such as The Time Machine or The Iron Giant? Were would you put them?

I like both but would side with scifi more.

Any recent recommendations in both ? I find it lacking, since Galaatica no tv scifi was anything worth its time. While Movies they are lacking also, Interstellar was awesome but i want more space ships robots advanced tech stuff.

Games it even worse, ill have to wait till Halo5 for anything good in that department. Id kill for a scifi Naughty gods game.

Edge of Tomorrow was pretty good, considering how bad Oblivion was. I suggest you watch that one, if you haven't.

Fantasy: Dark Fantasy, Heroic Fantasy, Comic Fantasy, Hard Fantasy, High Fantasy, etc...

Science-Fiction: Cyberpunk, Steampunk, Hard Science Fiction, Space Opera, Planet Opera, (Post) Apocalyptic, etc...

Is there really a point in comparing these genres ? I mean, they regroup SO many different things... There really isn't a "better" genre in my opinion.

I do prefer Science-Fiction though. It's the only genre that tickles my sense of wonder (Rendez-Vous With Rama, 2001: A Space Odissey, The City And The Stars, etc... Yes, I do love Arthur C. Clarke)

Already did, even liked Oblivion the scenery was tits.  

I always see comments about how bad Oblivion is, but I've never seen any good argument though. I liked it. Nothing stellar, but it's decent, good musics, visuals, interesting story, etc... The only real flaw in my opinion are the characters. Pretty bland if you ask me.

A very, very predictable plot for the most part, and a very, very weak ending. Also, trailer spoilered some things that could have otherwise made a better impression overall.

Yeah, so you were disappointed, but that doesn't really make the movie as awful as some say.

I personally didn't expect the Tetrahedron part near the end, but I do agree the very ending was a letdown. "The love of my life is dead... Oh hey, another one, yay !"

Also, you can't really take a flaw in the marketing campaign as a flaw in the movie. These are two completely separated worlds. Sadly, sometimes things like this happen, but that's also why I try to avoid trailers, most of the time.

Wait until the rest of the clones pop up. The mom will be having hard time explaining to the child the amount of daddies she has xD

I've always preferred Sci-Fi even at a young age (See: my profile pic :P)

Even my favorite video game franchise of all time is Sci-Fi (Metroid, if you couldn't tell :P)

Idk, maybe it's because most Sci-Fi stuff is rather uncommon with cheap budgets, and I find stuff like that to have quite a charm :P
